Approximately 80,000 individuals – students, researchers, lecturers, and administrative and service staff are directly linked to the University of Granada, making it the 4th largest university in the country. This university community has turned Granada, with its 240,000 inhabitants, into a lively, vivacious and culturally rich city. Approximately 6,000+ international undergraduate, masters, and doctoral students undertake studies at the UGR every year, making it a truly multicultural study destination.
The Faculty of Sciences is a leading center at the University of Granada (UGR), founded in 1857. It currently has around 1,000 teaching and research staff (PDI), almost 6,000 students, and around 100 administrative and service staff (PTGAS).
It offers a total of 12 undergraduate degrees: Biology, Biochemistry, Biotechnology, Environmental Sciences, Statistics, Physics, Geology, Industrial Electronic Engineering, Chemical Engineering, Mathematics, Optics and Optometry, and Chemistry, as well as two double degrees, Computer Science + Mathematics and Physics + Mathematics. In addition, the faculty's teaching and research staff participate in 19 master's degrees and 10 doctoral programs, which complete the faculty's educational offering.
